Definitive Surgical Trauma Care (DSTC) Course
The Definitive Surgical Trauma Care DSTC) Course is developed under the auspices of the International Association for Trauma and Surgical Intensive Care (IATSIC) to address the process of surgical decision-making and operative techniques involved in the management of life-threatening injuries in the trauma patient. The intensive three-day course is a mixture of lecture-based learning, case discussion and hands-on surgical skills training on animal models.
Healthcare Epidemiology Training
While based on the well-known ESCMID-SHEA training course, which ended in 2014, this course is geared – but not exclusive – to participants from South-East Asia. Next to ESCMID and SHEA, ISC’s working group on Infection Prevention and Control supports this new edition, with a new energetic faculty of renowned speakers, many of which actual collaborators of the old faculty and organizers. If you are interested in Healthcare Epidemiology and infection control and would like to revisit (or get to know) the essentials, discuss them with the faculty, and compare your experience with those of other participants this course is where you want to be. Intense interaction between participants and faculty is intended and planned for.
